LAS is a member of ISSA - The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (formerly known as the International Sanitary Supply Association) it is an international association more than 6,000 companies in the professional cleaning industry. ISSA's member organizations include distributors, manufacturers, and manufacturer representatives, building service contractors, in-house cleaning professionals, and associated service firms. ISSA's purpose is to provide leadership in promoting the cleaning industry by:

  • Enhancing members' professionalism, knowledge, and business ethics

  • Helping members to develop the entrepreneurial management and technological sophistication needed to ensure productivity and profitability

  • Representing the industry before government and others

  • Actively working to help achieve a cleaner world.

We are also allied with the following Organizations:

The Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) represents the leading cleaning contractors across North America and internationally. This alliance gives ISSA members access to BSCAI’s more than 1,800 members, as well as member pricing on BSCAI’s many educational tools and events. Since 2010, the association has co-located its annual convention with ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America, bringing the top BSCs together with ISSA members during the same week.

BSCAI’s CBSE and RBSM certifications signify that an individual has demonstrated the knowledge and skills required to perform competently in the building services profession. These designations also help contractors achieve elements of the SSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and Certification Program.

For more information regarding BSCAI and its valuable programs, visit www.bscai.org.

IEHA represents in-house decision-makers responsible for housekeeping, environmental services, and janitorial services spanning health care, hospitality, education, governmental, and many other facility sectors. IEHA and ISSA are celebrating 10 years of convention co-location this year, as well as 10 years of a trusted partnership on education, certification, and other key initiatives.

In addition to the access this relationship provides to IEHA's more than 3,500 members, the two associations offer a joint membership for in-house service providers and BSCs.

IEHA's REH and CEH certifications recognize individuals for completing comprehensive coursework and management experience in cleaning, pest control, waste management, security, laundry and linen supervision. These designations also help organizations to achieve elements of the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS). IEHA officially endorses CIMS and provides many business and training tools that can help organizations meet various elements of the standard.

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) represents 19,500 facility management decision-makers from a cross-section of facility types in private, public, and government sectors across the globe.

The association strongly supports the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and works with ISSA to generate increased awareness of the importance cleaning plays in the facility management arena.

ISSA and IFMA offer reciprocal joint membership discounts and work together to offer member pricing on select products or programs of interest to both constituencies.
